Jason Miller - Principal, High School Head Supervisor, Teacher

Mr. Miller as been at Bethel Christian Academy since its inception  in 1981 when he was enrolled in 2nd grade.  Mr. Miller's early education included both A-beka and the A.C.E. curricula.  He graduated from BCA with honors in 1992.  He has attended Elizabethtown Community College and has had several on-line courses of study through Liberty University and continues his studies.  Jason began helping students in the classroom and has taught for 16 years using both A-beka and A.C.E.   Mr. Miller became principal in 2005 and continues in that capacity and as Supervisor of the high school. 


Jerry Conder - School Administrative Secretary

Jerry is a life-long resident of Breckinridge County. She has attended Bethel Fellowship for more than 20 years. After retiring from the Commonwealth of Kentucky, where she worked in Social Services as a secretary, she became active in volunteer work at the Academy. She has served as a volunteer in the cafeteria, in various classrooms, and in the school office. She began working full-time as the Academy secretary in July 2005. 


Billie Jean Doyle - Literacy Specialist

Ms. Billie Jean has been a friend of Bethel Christian Academy for many years.  She and her husband lived in Louisville but began attending Bethel Fellowship Church in 1991.  The Doyle's moved to the community in '99.  Since losing her husband, Ms. Doyle has served as a volunteer at BCA beginning in the '02-'03 school year.  She has served as a reading teacher for the 1st grade and tutors other students in reading. 

 

 


Cheryl Robbins - Elementary School Head Supervisor, Teacher

Ms. Cheryl and her husband Ray began attending Bethel Fellowship Church in 1984 when BCA had been in existance only 3 yrs.  The next year, 1985, she began assisting in the Elementary Classroom and with the exception of two years has been here since that time.  Mrs. Cheryl taught pre-school 1 yr. and Kindergarten for 3 yrs.  Since then she has worked primarily in the Elementary Learning Center and has been the Elementary Supervisor for 10+ yrs. and remains in that capacity today. 


Fonda Miller - First Grade Teacher

Ms. Fonda has served in Christian ministry most of her adult life while raising her family.   Ms. Fonda loves children and has taught many students over the last 15 years at Bethel Christian Academy working both with pre-school and elementary students.  She has been BCA's 1st grade teacher for several years.


Tara Goostree - Kindergarten Teacher

Mrs. Tara is a product of Bethel Christian Academy from pre-school days through her graduation in '99.  Mrs. Tara began helping in the kindergarten classroom in 2007 and has been the Head Teacher in the classroom for the past four years.


Gretchen Miller - Middle School Head Supervisor

Noel Kidd - Bible, Literature, and History Teacher

After receiving the Lord at age 21, Noel began serving in ministry and has been serving ever since.  Noel has served in many different places including Ohio, Delaware, and Mexico.  His primary ministry has been with youth but he has served in adult ministry and as worship leader in several places.  Noel has been at Bethel since 2009 and this is his second year teaching in the Academy.


Heather Wilson - Middle School Monitor/Aide

Heather graduated from BCA in 2008 and served the next year as Pre-School teacher.  Heather came back in the fall of 2011 as a helper in the Middle School and assistant coach of the Girl's Basketball team.


Claudia Kelsey - High School Teacher

Claudia was born into a ministry family and received Christ as her Savior when she was eight.  She graduated from Cumberland College in Williamsburg, Kentucky in 1992 and upon graduation taught art at Oneida Baptist Institute in Oneida, Kentucky. Claudia came to McDaniels, Kentucky in 2005.  She has taught school at BCA in the high school since 2006. 


Charles Bjork - High School Science and Math Teacher, ACT Prep

Mr. Bjork attended Florida State University. Mr. Charlie worked while in college at the Air Force Eastern Test Range, first as an Analyst at The Technical Staff, then as Assistant Base Operations Manager Trainee, and finally as Analyst for Satellite Operations. He earned a BS degree in Astronautics Engineering Science in 1969, completing course work and Thesis towards an MS degree in Engineering Science.

Mr. Charlie’s career well underway, he became a Research Scientist for Science Applications, Inc. (now SAIC) including contract work for NASA. He did research in Nuclear Weapons Effects and Laser Weapons Technology for the subsequent 10 yrs.

The next 22 yrs Mr. Charlie did scientific research in Infrared & Laser Sensor Technology and Laser Weapons. To work more closely with Laser Radar hardware, he and his wife relocated to Colorado where he continued as a Research Scientist for Coherent Technologies, Inc, later acquired by Lockheed Martin Space Systems, working in Laser Radar & Weapons Technology Development. He would work there for 9 more years before retiring and moving to Kentucky.

Mr. & Mrs. Bjork visited a friend here a couple of years ago when he expressed an interest to teach high school science when he retired. He began teaching at Bethel Christian Academy in January of 2010.

 

 

 

 


Edward Keys - High School Monitor/Aide

Mr. Keys, a Christian for over 50 yrs, has been involved with Bethel since 1985.  He worked at the school when it first opened almost 30 yrs ago and has returned to volunteer in the high school class.  A friend of Bethel, Mr. Keys is a member of Corinth Baptist Church in McQuady, Ky  where he has served working with youth for 30 years.
